  • Day 1 Arrival in Beijing

    Arrival in Beijing. Meet and greet by local guide. Transfer to hotel. Free time at leisure. 

  • Day 2 Peking

    Visiting the landmarks of Beijing: CCTV Tower, Nationaltheater, SOHO CBD. As a sharp contrast, you will visit the Forbidden City, the Imperial Palace in the afternoon. Enjoy a Peking Roast Duck dinner at Da Dong. 

  • Day 3 Peking

    Visiting the Temple of Heaven in the morning, a master piece of chinese traditional wood construction. Afterwards visiting the Red Brick Art Museum with contemperory exhibitions in Caochangdi Art Zone.

  • Day 4 Peking-Mutianyu

    Transfer to Mutianyu. Hiking on the Great Wall. Afterwards transfer to Brickyard, a countryside lodge at the foot of the Great Wall. You may visit a neigboring village to explore chinese countryside life. 

  • Day 5 Mutianyu-Peking-Pingyao

    Free time in the morning. Enjoy a stunning view of the Great Wall from your room. Pick-up at noon and transfer to the railway station Peking. Highspeed train to Pingyao. 

  • Day 6 Pingyao

    Pingyao is the most well-preserved old city in China, most buildings are in average 200-300 years old. You will visiting the Yard of Family Wang and the underground tunnel system in Zhangbi, accompanied by a local expert, to get known of Chinese traditional building methods and the philosophy behind. 

  • Day 7 Pingyao-Taiyuan-Hangzhou

    A calligraphy course by a senior calligraphy master, followed by a strolling in the Pingyao Ancient Town and tasting local rice liquor and viegar. Car ride to Taiyuan aiport in the afternoon. Flight to Hangzhou. Transfer to hotel. 

  • Day 8 Hangzhou

    Boat tour on the West Lake, afterwards an easy hiking in the tea hills and experiece a tea ceremony. In the afternoon visiting a traditional fan workshop to learn the fan-painting art. Make a fan of your own. 

  • Day 9 Hangzhou

    An architecture tour to the works of Wang Shu, the first chinese Pritzker Winner. He has rebuilt the Xiangshan Campus of the Academy of Fine arts in Hangzhou with used materials in a most nature-balancing way.  Another worthvisiting piece of his works is the Wancun Village, a model for the combination of traditional and modern building methods. 

  • Day 10 Hangzhou-Wuzhen-Suzhou

    Car ride to Suzhou with visiting of the water village Wuzhen en route. Wuzhen is not merely a water village like many others, but a center for cultural activities. Since 2013 there is an annual Theater Festival taking place here. Enjoy this charming water town with its traditional workshops and modern art galleries. 

  • Day 11 Suzhou

    One day Garden tour to some most beautiful gardens in Suzhou and you will have a private lesson about chinese Bonzai, a very important aspect of chinese garden art and also a popular element in modern house decoration. 

  • Day 12 Suzhou-Shanghai

    Highspeed train to Shanghai. A dynamic city tour to the observatory of the 650m high Shanghai Tower, the Old City, where you will taste Shanghai's famous Dim Sums (steamed and fried dumplings). In the afternoon strolling the former french colony, Shanghai's traditional residential district Shikumen. 

  • Day 13 Shanghai

    4-hour Modern Architecture Ride by Vinetage Jeep. Discover the architectural marvels of Shanghai according to renowned architect Benjamin Wood. Learn more about Feng Shui, a chinese philosophy of living and wellbeing. Free at leisure in the afternoon. 

  • Day 14 Depart

    Transfer to airport. Depart.
